Medical Aid companies usually only cover in-hospital costs between 100-200% of the NHRPL (National Health Reference Price List or "Medical Aid rate"). However some specialists are charging over 350% of the NHRPL! There is always a difference between what the Doctors charge and what the Medical Aids pay out. Wouldn't it be nice to span that GAP? The cover is very affordable but can only be taken by members of a Medical Aid. It'll make a huge difference to the cost of ending up in hospital.
